Senior People Operations Specialist

Li.Fi · Series A · Website

Job Description

LI.FI is simplifying multi-chain DeFi for traditional financial institutions, fintechs and service providers by offering a unified API to access all on-chain liquidity across major blockchains for best price same-chain and cross-chain swaps. We are a passionate team on a mission to enable a fairer, more decentralised world. Apart from the tech, we care a lot about user experience and aim to make complex technologies accessible to everyone.

Setting yourself up for success

A quick run-down of the job

We are seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist to join our People & Operations team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on generalist who thrives in ambiguity, builds from first principles, and thinks AI-first when solving operational challenges. The role involves owning a wide range of people ops topics — supporting a globally distributed, remote-first team.

📍 Location: Remote within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). Your application will not be considered if you're outside of this region.

What you'll do

  • Own core HR operations across the full employee lifecycle

  • Support managers and employees on performance management and employee relations

  • Work with EOR providers and contractors across multiple jurisdictions, navigating the complexity of a multi-country European workforce

  • Collaborate with Finance on contractor and payroll-related processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution

  • Design and document scalable HR workflows, replacing manual processes with structured, AI-assisted solutions

  • Build and maintain people ops tooling and automations, including integrations with HiBob, Notion, Slack, and other internal systems

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve operational efficiency — and then actually build them

What makes a good candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR in a tech company (SaaS, fintech, or similar)

  • Proven experience in a scale-up or startup environment — you know what it means to build processes, not just run them

  • Strong understanding of European employment complexity: multi-country workforces, EOR models, and contractor management

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fully remote, async-first team

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a sharp sense for numbers

  • Strong sense of ownership: you spot a problem, you solve it, you document it

  • Comfortable using AI tools to draft, research, and build — and excited to keep pushing that further

  • Previous experience on larger organizations (~1k–5k employees) is a plus

  • Exposure to payroll processes or payroll provider management is a plus

We encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!

    • Hold yourself to a high bar for execution

    • Make bold decisions, and be accountable

    • Understand your limitations and seek for help

  • Fail forward

    • Try - don’t be afraid to fail

    • Learn - don’t make the same mistake twice

    • Adapt - grow with the experience

  • Have fun together

    • Take the time to get to know and understand each other better

    • Don’t take yourself too seriously and keep it light-hearted

    • Fun should be coming from a place of love and respect

What you’ll get

  • Annual team offsites (Thailand in 2023, Vietnam in 2024, Marrakech in 2025, Crete in 2026; memories we'll never forget. Already dreaming about where 2027 will take us!)

  • 30 days of PTO

  • Flexible remote days

  • Flexible working hours

  • Equity participation from day 1

  • Entitlement to work computer (choice of equipment)

  • An annual 1,000€ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year)

  • A one-time 1,000€ remote budget to use on coworking, office setup, etc.

If you join us as an independent contractor, you’re only entitled to the first five benefits of this list.

This role is engaged via employer of record (EOR) or independent contractor arrangement.
