Distyl is an applied AI technology company partnering with the world’s most ambitious institutions to rearchitect critical operations for the frontier of AI. Our customers include the largest companies in telecom, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, consumer goods, and global social organizations.
We research and deploy technologies that power AI-native operations — both for our partners and for Distyl itself. Our work spans research into self-constructing systems, the development of the most reliable execution of AI systems, and products that transform mission-critical workflows. As a result, Distyl's technologies affect some of the world's largest operations — from hundreds of millions of consumer interactions to tens of millions of supply chain transactions and millions of patient journeys.
Distyl is backed by leading investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Khosla Ventures, Coatue, DST Global, and the board-members of 20+ F500s. The results reflect this approach: a 100% production deployment success rate for our customers and one of the few enterprise AI companies to run a profitable business.
Distyl is hiring a Senior Platform Product Manager in San Francisco or New York City to define and build the platform that powers how AI gets deployed inside enterprises.
This is not a role focused on incremental product improvements. You will be responsible for turning real-world customer problems into reusable AI systems, deciding what becomes platform, what remains bespoke, and how we scale both.
You’ll operate at the intersection of AI infrastructure, developer experience, and live enterprise deployments working closely with engineers, forward-deployed teams, and customers to shape what we build and why.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has strong product instincts in AI-native environments, and wants to own a platform from first principles.
Define the vision, roadmap, and core abstractions for Distyl’s AI platform
Decide what gets built into the platform vs. solved at the edge with customers
Translate repeated enterprise patterns into scalable, reusable systems
Partner deeply with engineering and forward-deployed teams to ship production-grade AI quickly
Lead the development and prioritization of core platform capabilities, including:
Agent frameworks and orchestration systems
Model evaluation, monitoring, and feedback loops
Self-improving systems and human-in-the-loop workflows
Developer tooling, workflows, and internal DX
Enterprise data integrations and system interoperability
10+ years in product, with deep experience in platform, infrastructure, or technical systems
Have built or scaled AI/ML platforms, LLM systems, or developer-facing products
Strong technical fluency, you can reason about architecture, tradeoffs, and system design with engineers
Clear point of view on how AI-native systems should be designed and evolve
Comfortable operating in ambiguity with high ownership and minimal structure
Able to translate complex, real-world problems into clean abstractions
Own a core system that sits at the center of the company
Work on real enterprise problems—not demos or isolated features
Help define how AI platforms are actually built and scaled
Operate in a high-trust environment with meaningful ownership
The base salary range for this role is $180K – $250K, depending on experience, location, and level. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for meaningful equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package
100% covered medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents
401(k) with additional perks (e.g., commuter benefits, in‑office lunch)
Access to state‑of‑the‑art models, generous usage of modern AI tools, and real‑world business problems
Ownership of high‑impact projects across top enterprises
A mission‑driven, fast‑moving culture that prizes curiosity, pragmatism, and excellence
Distyl has offices in San Francisco and New York. This role follows a hybrid collaboration model with 3+ days per week (Tuesday–Thursday) in‑office.
